At LuFloc, we're on a mission to tackle Malaysia's food security problem head-on by developing innovative, sustainable solutions for increased food production.

Pacific White Shrimps farming

LuFloc brings a new vision for shrimp farming that is both economically viable and environmentally sustainable by combining innovative technologies and proven practices to prevent disease outbreaks, maximize crop yields whilst producing high value, export grade seafood.

To support the growing global population, we need to grow more food, faster, with lesser space, but we don't want to wreck Mother Nature in the process. That's why we're all about doing better - whilst ensuring we produce high quality, nutritious food to consumers.

No Antibiotics

We produce safe-to-eat, export grade shrimps 

Prevents Disease Outbreak

Do you know approximately USD 6 billion lost annually to shrimp farming diseases? We are able to prevent outbreaks with LuFloc proprietary farming technologies & operating procedures 

Lesser Resources

Our shrimps are farmed with 50% lesser water and a third of land required vs. traditional farming

Enable Circular Agriculture

Our system not only produces shrimp for consumption but also generates valuable by-products, which can be used in the production of supplements, bioplastics, biofuels, and more, fostering circular agriculture practices

Waste to Resource

Waste from LuFloc systems contains as high as 40% protein! We are working on converting our waste into fertilisers, alternative animal feed and biofuel

Lower Carbon Footprint

Our system reduces carbon footprint through resource efficiency, land conservation, algae carbon sequestration, and waste-to-resource practices

HOW WE DO IT

Mother Nature already has its natural processes that does no harm. All it takes is a little innovation, applied science and engineering to bring the natural cycle up to our pace of consumption.

Maintaining perfect water conditions is key to grow healthy prawns!

 

Instead of conventional water exchange which pose disease risks, we've harnessed the power of our optimized bacterial helpers.
